Many people are aware that massage can provide relaxation. However, many people may not have knowledge of its specific health benefits. Massage therapy can improve blood circulation, enhance immune function and reduce swelling. Massage therapy delivers nutrients to tissue and breaks up adhesions from scar tissue to restore flexibility and range of motion. Treatments also induce general relaxation, which in turn reduces stress and helps to prevent the onset of illness and injury.
Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs) must complete a comprehensive 2-year program which encompasses knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, neurology and extensive pathologies. Also, only RMTs can provide official insurance receipts and are regulated by the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario.
Elysium Therapy is a home-based practice but the massage studio is located on the 3rd floor which is entirely private. With almost 20 years of experience, I offer Swedish, Deep-Tissue, Sports, Prenatal, Hotstone & Foot Reflexology treatments. I also teach the Hypopressives technique to strengthen the Pelvic Floor (see below). I believe in not only treating symptoms, but addressing why muscle tension and knots develop in the first place.
As of June 11, 2022, mask-mandates have been lifted for most health-care settings. You are no longer required to wear a mask for your massage. As your therapist, I will still be wearing a mask for the foreseeable future during your treatment. Your health and safety is of the upmost importance to me. That is why I have implemented the following protocols in my practice:
I graduated from Sutherland-Chan Massage School and am a member of The College of Massage Therapists of Ontario as well as the Registered Massage Therapists’ Association of Ontario. Let me show you how regular massage can make a positive difference in your life!
I never book appointments close together – you will not run into other clients or feel rushed at my clinic! I believe in taking the time to provide a therapeutic treatment within a spa-like setting. If you have 1-2 areas you would like me to focus on and still want to incorporate that into a full-body massage, I highly recommend 75 mins or more. Make massage therapy a regular part of your health regime – your mind & body will thank you!

It is acceptable, however, to find another person to receive an equivalent treatment during that time in your stead. Please note that this policy still applies in the event of illness or emergencies.
